“Our planet is filled with heroes. Young and old, rich and poor, man, women of different colors, shape and sizes. We are one great tapestry. Each person has a hidden hero within. You just have to look inside you and search it in your hear and be the hero to the next one in need. So to each and every person inside in this theater and for those who are watching at home, the hero in you is waiting to be unlish. Serve. Serve well. Serve other above your self and be happy to serve as I always tell to my co-volunteers of Dynamic Teen Company. you are the change that you dream as I am the change that I dream and collectively we are the change that this world needs to be. Mabuhay!” --  Efren Peñaflorida Jr.

This is the speech that Efren Peñaflorida Jr. gave when he received the Hero of the award from CNN. His speech is simple, concrete but very powerful. His life is living testimony that everyone can be a hero. As what he had said We are the change that we are dreaming for a very long time. Because of him he made me realize how big my responsibility is as a Sunday school teacher at the same time he also make me realize how self fulfilling it is to be a teacher. I hope and I pray that like me, may a lot of people be encourage by his life.

I found this two love poems that really touched my heart. I hope that you will also enjoy it.

"Whose child is this?" I asked one day
Seeing a little one out at play
"Mine", said the parent with a tender smile
"Mine to keep a little while
To bathe his hands and comb his hair
To tell him what he is to wear
To prepare him that he may always be good
And each day do the things he should"

"Whose child is this?" I asked again
As the door opened and someone came in
"Mine", said the teacher with the same tender smile
"Mine, to keep just for a little while
To teach him how to be gentle and kind
To train and direct his dear little mind
To help him live by every rule
And get the best he can from school"

"Whose child is this?" I ask once more
Just as the little one entered the door
"Ours" said the parent and the teacher as they smiled
And each took the hand of the little child
"Ours to love and train together
Ours this blessed task forever."

Why God Made TeachersBy Kevin William Huff
When God created teachers,
He gave us special friends
To help us understand His world
And truly comprehend
The beauty and the wonder
Of everything we see,
And become a better person
With each discovery.
When God created teachers,
He gave us special guides
To show us ways in which to grow
So we can all decide
How to live and how to do
What's right instead of wrong,
To lead us so that we can lead
And learn how to be strong.
Why God created teachers,
In His wisdom and His grace,
Was to help us learn to make our world
A better, wiser place.
